Chêne Bleu, the boutique estate set high in the Dentelles de Montmirail above Gigondas and Séguret, has been described by the Wall Street Journal as ‘the world’s first super Rhône’ and by Decanter as ‘exceptional’. What a delight, then, to welcome back to the Spectator boardroom Chêne Bleu’s visionary proprietor, Nicole Rolet, who will present a wide selection of her wines, including vintages of the much sought-after flagship reds, Abélard and Héloise, the rich and complex white Aliot and the new-age, food-friendly rosé. Nicole will also explain the thinking behind her decision to opt out of the appellation d'origine contrôlée system and how she and her family pioneered regenerative organic and biodynamic farming from the very beginning, making the most of the exceptional high-altitude micro terroir.

Hosted by drinks editor Jonathan Ray, our winemaker events are informal and informative affairs with a maximum of 18 around the table
