Valentine Warner chef’s wine lunch - Friday 5 November 2021, 12.30pm for 1pm


Valentine Warner – celebrated chef, writer, traveller and raconteur – will prepare, cook and present a four-course autumnal lunch of cured trout with Douglas fir salt, chestnut and cep soup with white flageolet and parmesan, roasted mallard and confit leg with celeriac, apples, walnuts and poached quinces with stem ginger and whipped cream. The accompanying fine wines will include 2020 Mirabeau La Réserve Rosé from Provence, 2017 Ch. de Santenay, Santenay 1er Cru ‘La Comme’ Blanc from Burgundy, 2017 Ch. Meyney from St Estèphe and 2015 Le Dragon de Quintus and 2015 Ch. Quintus from Saint Emilion.
