There are none finer, though, than Hamilton Russell Vineyards, home to what many consider to be South Africa’s greatest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. They’re certainly the most Burgundian in style.

The great Anthony Hamilton Russell himself – star of many a Spectator Winemaker’s Lunch – will join us from his estate as he talks us through the only-just-released 2020 Hamilton Russell Chardonnay and 2020 Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir as well as the 2019 Ashbourne Sandstone Chardonnay/Sauvignon/Semillon blend and the mighty 2017 Ashbourne, a truly remarkable wine that has completely redefined South Africa’s ‘own’ grape, Pinotage.
