St Emilion masterclass with Edouard Moueix - Thursday 4 February
Join drinks editor Jonathan Ray on Thursday 4 February, 6.30pm-7.30pm, as we launch the Spectator Wine Club’s spring season of online tastings with a very special Saint Emilion masterclass hosted by Edouard Mouiex in which we will all taste three x 75cl bottles.
The Moueix family need little introduction, being as they are Bordeaux royalty. Owners of fabled estates Ch. Bélair-Monange in Saint Emilion and Ch. La Fleur-Pétrus and Ch. Trotanoy in Pomerol, they also own such stellar properties as Dominus Estate and Ulysses in the Napa Valley.
Edouard Moueix – son of Christian – represents the third generation of his family to immerse himself in Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, and we are fortunate indeed to be invited to join Edouard in Bordeaux, via Zoom, to learn all there is to know about Saint Emilion and to taste the following three wines:
- 2016 St. Emilion, J-P Moueix
- 2014 Ch. Haut Roc Blanquant, Grand Cru St. Emilion
- 2016 Annonce de Bélair-Monange, Grand Cru St. Emilion
Edouard has also generously suggested that he sends each reader a tasting sample of the 2012 vintage of the flagship wine, Ch. Bélair-Monange.
Price: £100 to include a pack of three 75cl bottles (which would normally retail for over £130), detailed tasting notes, a sample of 2012 Ch. Bélair-Monange and access to our exclusive live Zoom masterclass, tasting and Q&A.
Since space at the tasting - presented in association with Private Cellar - is limited to just 30 readers, we strongly advise booking promptly. Last orders by 1st February*
Thursday 4 February | 7.00pm | £100
