A Rubik’s Cube Masterclass, Thursday 28 May, Spectator garden, 6.30 – 8pm, £75

Ever picked up a Rubik’s Cube, tried your luck… and slowly realised you were just making it worse? It’s not because the puzzle is ‘too hard’ – just that most people were never shown the right way to solve it.  

In this fast-paced, hands-on masterclass, expert cuber Tom Barnett will take you from complete beginner to confident puzzle master — step by step, move by move. No prior experience needed.   

As with all our Summer Sessions in the Spectator garden chilled wine, beer and soft drinks are included in the ticket price, plus you’ll also take home your own official Rubik’s Cube, along with a pamphlet with all the steps and algorithms you will ever need.  

This isn’t just a workshop — it’s a skill you’ll keep for life (and a great party trick, too).  

 Perfect for complete beginners and curious minds. Duration: 90 minutes.
